Rubicon Europe Trust Group (ASX:REU) was listed on the ASX on 6 December 2005 to provide Investors with attractive income returns and the potential for capital growth through exposure to a diversified portfolio of European commercial real estate assets and loans. The REU Portfolio is now highly diversified with 8 property investments and 8 individual loan assets secured against 524 underlying properties. Together, the real estate assets and loan assets are spread across 7 countries in Europe.
REU's strategy encompasses two major components:
- Real estate ownership
To acquire a diversified portfolio of properties with low risk characteristics, particularly modern and functional buildings with high credit quality tenants and long lease duration. Specifically, to date REU has acquired high quality office assets located in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands; and
- Real estate financing
To acquire, through a wholly owned investment vehicle, Rubicon Finance Europe, a highly diversified portfolio of loan assets through the provision of financing solutions to private and corporate owners of commercial real estate in Europe
REU is managed by Rubicon Asset Management Limited (the Manager).
The Manager has entered into an exclusive agreement with DTZ, a leading global real estate advisory firm, to source real estate acquisitions for, and provide property management services to, REU.
